Look at the dust covers of the Chinese Cinderella books.   Look into Adeline’s eyes how would you describe this young girl?  What do you think the publisher is trying to portray through the use of these photos.

I think the author was trying to portray the fact that on the little girls mouth, she is smiling. But in her eyes, one can tell that she has been through alot of hardship and troubles.

I think the author is trying to show that the girl is in a dark shadow to show that she is all alone and her eyes show that she does not know what lies ahead of her and she looks blank and not showing many emotions.

i think the girl is showing emptiness though her smile and the way her eyes stare at you

I think the publisher was trying to tell us that she is sad and unwanted. lonely and unappreciated.

I think the author is trying to get through to everyone that Adeline is a sad unwanted daughter but still she doesn’t give up and is always trying her hardest to be a the very best of her abilities.

The picture shows that she is an innocent little girl with a shy nature. It is obvious that she is unwanted because there is no one beside her.

Usually, when your photo is taken, you smile. In this picture though, Adeline is not showing any happiness. You can almost tell she is not loved.

I think that the author is trying to get through to the fact that Adeline is a sad and unwanted daughter and that she doesn’t give up.

i think she is trying to say how hard her life was and that is why she would not be smiling in these photos taken
